So hello World! hello to anyone who manages to find this blog and read it. This is my first attempt to blog so it has been a tentative leaning curve and rather disjointed. I hope this will be successful and that i can write a daily blog .
We are on our holiday of a lifetime to the beautiful country of Canada. So having left Blighty from Gatwick we flew to Vancouver and then got a connecting flight to Kelowna. delighted we were when the bags arrived straight to Kelowna. West Jet was a great airline to travel, comfortable, good service, free headphones for the entertainment which was the best news for my overtired teenagers. Free food and drink which was the best news for their over tired mother! We would recommend. The day started for us at 3am when the taxi came, R had decided not to go to sleep at all – big mistake, big! After a long wait at Gatwick we boarded the ten hour first flight. it was helped so much by comfortable seats and films and a certain amount of anticipation. Eventually we got the cases (23 kg each plus two carry on bags each!) and were met by our lovely cousin carrying a small puppy! Just gorgeous for tired teenagers to be greeted by and they didnt even notice that it was raining. 3 hour drive later we arrived at the most beautiful place, a ranch surrounded by soft muted colours of grass and summer flowers. The ranch has cheerful red rooves, 10 dogs, 2 cats, 300 cows, 100 sheep and a handful of pigs. The 180 view from the big windows of greens, blues, purples, yellows and in the distance snow capped Rockie mountains – heaven! Glass of fizz, spag bog and Bed! So ends day one!
